In 3rd grade students researched people that changed history in class. Each class practiced doing research on some history makers-- then students picked a person they were interested in researching.
In library, we learned about podcasts and what makes them enjoyable to listen to. Students spent a week listening to podcasts and brainstormed what they liked about listening. The following week, students learned about the structure of a podcast. They discovered that podcasts usually:In 6th Grade, student are learning about the Civil War. In Social Studies they did research on Absent Narratives from most History Books for this time period with their classroom teacher, Natalie Ramirez. She provided them with resources to learn about people involved in the Civil War that many people don't know about.
Students were then able to choose one of the tech skills we learned this year to present their information. Students shared their learning via Google Slides, Canva, or Google Sites.
