6th Grade Websites

 Sixth graders have been leaning about the Fur Trade in their Social Studies Class. Students typed their entries up in class, and their teacher and I worked with them to create a website using google sites. 

 For their final project, students were asked to journal in the voice of a voyageur  showing what they know about the fur trade.

Fur Trade Web Sites

Sixth graders have been leaning about the Voyageurs in their Social Studies Class. For their final project, students were asked to journal in the voice of a voyageur We have been learning about creating web sites for students to share their learning about the MN Fur Trade.  Students have been doing Online Learning these past 2 weeks. We met with students over zoom and helped them create web pages to share their learning. 6th Grade Websites

In 6th Grade, student are learning about the Civil War. In Social Studies they did research on Absent Narratives from most History Books for this time period with their classroom teacher, Natalie Ramirez. She provided them with resources to learn about people involved in the Civil War that many people don't know about.

I went into their classroom early this week, and taught students how to make a website using Google Sites. Check out our AMAZING work!

Citing Websites

In 5th Grade, we are leaning about citations. In the past weeks we have practiced citing books. We are now working on citing websites for our research. Students are practicing finding the name of the website and finding a URL.

We are working together to identify the parts of a website. Students will then practice the skills independently. Next we will work on citing images.

6th Grade Web Pages

In 6th grade, students studied various topics linked to the time period of World War I, Boom and Bust (1920’s and 1930’s ) as well as World War II. They gathered research around three areas in class. S 

I then pushed into their classrooms and taught students how to use GOOGLE SITES through their GOOGLE APPs accounts. Students created different layouts and themes. They also created multiple pages to share their information. Students learned how to create titles, tabs, locate and insert pictures and track sources.
