Catalog Practice
In 3rd Grade we have been learning how to use the catalog to help us locate books. Last week, I taught students how to do a TITLE search. They then practiced with a partner. We also reviewed how to see if books were checked in or out-- and what the CALL # was so that they could be found by students independently.This week, I taught students how the difference between a SUBECT search and a KEYWORD search. Students then completed a scavenger hunt using the catalog. It is great to see our students becoming more independent library users!
